Our story: It all started in 2013, when the concept of a specialty beer shop was still unknown. Tying our hats, tightening our belts and taking great risks for you, we opened our doors not knowing if you would come in large numbers, all to make you discover wonderful local artisanal products. Time passes so fast ! Ten years have already passed and we would like to thank all those who have allowed the shop to flourish: all these years of sharing with our customers have been extraordinary and have allowed us to adapt the shop to your tastes. We would also like to thank all those who have believed in our project throughout these wonderful years and we do not know how to express our gratitude for all the employees who have worked so hard to ensure that the store is still open and healthy! We have had great adventures and fabulous encounters over the years, it is truly a privilege to discuss beer with you dear customers, so never hesitate to let us know your ideas for the next ten years to make this shop your favorite store.

Our mission is to offer you a huge selection of Quebec microbrewery beers and showcase the products made by local artisans. Whatever style, color, flavor or even format you’re looking for, you’ll find it! We have a selection of over 1,200 different beers from over 120 microbreweries in Quebec (and Ontario!), not to mention our ciders, wines, kombuchas and all our other beverages! We are a destination of choice and a must in Montreal with an exceptional service at all times with our advisers available 7 days a week.

A great spot to find sour beers (and other types). The staff are friendly and will help you find what you need. Its not cheap but craft beer rarely is. You get what you pay for. Excellent selection overall.

The beer house opened its doors in July 2013, but long before its arrival Marc Antoine Gagnon (the owner) had a blatant interest in the brewing world. After more than three years of market research, a course as a beer sommelier and tasting after tasting, he finally went into business, and La Maison des Beers was born!
Now his beloved wife Barbara Aburtto Alarcon has joined the adventure of La Maison des Bières, she is also passionate about the world of Quebec microbreweries and local artisanal products. With her work ethic and experience in the field of commerce, she completely revolutionized the store.
